Amazing staff who love and look after theses dogs, people saying they weren’t allowed to visit dogs are not seeing the bigger picture or understanding that some of the dogs are scared and need to feel secure first before being introduced people or given a home, if you are here to adopt then isn’t the welfare of the dogs a priority? Amazed to read some of these comments it is not like longbenton is an hours drive away! Or that they are trying to home the dogs with the best partnership of owners? I love this place and adore my dog Kenny, if you have a problem, maybe a thought, talk to a staff at the center instead of giving bad review to the kind amazing people who look after these animals. Keep up the excellent work and I am blessed to have Kenny in my life xx

My wife and I met Paul about 20 years ago when we wanted to rehome a cat. It didn't work out as our Tom didn't take to her.We were touched by how caring and compassionate Paul was to her and the many cats he had which had free reign of his home. We eventually went on to home 3 more strays who came to our house and stayed. We have 1 old boy left who gets really pampered. Good luck to Paul who's still going after all these years and never gets any recognition.

Great shop! Has loads of great options to try, and the staff are really friendly. The cafe in the shop offers good food at a good price to go, or to stay in and have
Decent selection but not really one thing or another. Limited "fresh" & cake offer and somewhat lacking in decor. Better offers from elsewhere.

Oxfam in Newcastle has been working with Karen at The volunteer centre for 4 years now. I have build up a good understanding with Karen regards to the roles we have, and Karen has been most helpful in helping us with filling these roles.I think it is a great service and Karens input makes it very easy to use,as she goes that extra mile with her clients so she can match volunteers to the right place . yvonne lyall manager oxfam newcastle
